I am working on a full kitchen remodel. A tile floor was added a few years back and the tile was run up to the existing cabinets. A subfloor and concrete were added prior to installing the tile. If I pull out the existing cabinets I have a 1" drop between to 2 sections of the floor.
I need to build up the floor so the new cabinets will sit flush with the tile. I also have to retile a few areas because I'm changing my cabinet configuration.
I've seen plywood, a wood frame that the cabinets sit on, and even pouring a self-leveling compound to bring up the floor.
What is the best way to do this?
Thanks,
Kevin
