I have a home about 80 years old with concrete floor in basement made of squares about 6' by 6'. They are very uneven. I want to pour about 3 inches of new concrete on top to help level the floor. Will the new bond to the old or does it need to? Please advise ASAP. Thanx.

I don't think you can just pour on top of the existing squares. If they are uneven, then that probably means they have moved. The movement underneath your poured slab will crack it. Can you remove the squares? Can you break them up?
