I'm remodeling my house I just bought. I have reclaimed red oak hardwood floors. They have been in the house properly bundled for since I bought the house a year and a half ago.
I'm going to be done the walls and ceilings soon and ready to move onto the floors.
MY QUESTION: Because I am in the process of upgrading the air conditioning unit and the possibility exists that the floors could be going down BEFORE the air gets sorted out...am I going to run into problems.
I am aware that summer is approaching, and the heat and humidity is coming with it. Should I wait until my house has the a/c fixed? I know that the heat and humidity will cause the planks to swell a bit, but I saw somewhere that this is a good thing. At the same time I don't want gaps when the air conditioning is fixed or when the winter months come along. Also, the house is very well insulated, if that makes any difference.
Can anyone recommend a plan of attack here. THanks for your time.
