  • GE geo spring heat pump water heater

Anyone have any experience with these. Im wondering if it could be installed in a 3x6ft closet in my kitchen. I know it needs air circulation so I could install louvers in the door. I live in the mountains of NC. We have cold winters, but the heater would be installed in a heated space.

Basically you need about a 10 X 10 room for enough air for these to operate.

There are a few manufacturers, GE, Rheem, AO Smith, Steibel Eltron... and others but they are labels of Rheem and AO Smith...

The GE and Rheem keep resistance heating elements of 4500 watts, while the AO Smith is slightly lower and the Steibel Eltron has only 1750 worth of resistance elements. The further south you are and the warmer the climate the less resistance heating you should need.

You can read more on them here at this link...
