  • Water heater keeps dying

I have a tank storage water heater that the burner keeps going out. It seems to me that the blower or vacuum on top of the tank is on 24/7. If I turn it off and reignite the pilot then it works again. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

There could be a variety of reasons why this is happening that need to be troubleshot to determine the cause.

Can you supply the brand and model #?

Thanks for the help. I'll try to get the make and model. The tank was recently wrapped for insulation so I'll see what I can do.

Take the wrap right back off for now. It is probably blocking the air flow into the combustion chamber.

Did your problems start immediately after it was wrapped?
