    Hmmm...

I have water sitting in the mail line right where it exits the house. When I broke the line to put in a patch, a lot of sewer water drained out. I installed a clean-out and when I opened the cover, there is water visible that is remaining in the line. I put a level to the line at various points and it seems that all is OK, not great in spots, but at least a 2 inch drop over 10 feet. Any thoughts on this?

If this is a 4" line, then most codes call for a 1/4" slope per foot is needed to maintain a good flow on drainage lines. It sounds like your line could be sloped more, if you're not having any problems with clogs then don't worry about it, but if you're clogging then you may want to add more slope.
