Whirlpool water heater beeps

This heater model #N40T61-343 started beeping every 1 1-1/2 minutes after being off all winter. The only thing posted on the net says there is no reason why it should be doing that and to pull off the box and take it back. There is nothing in the manual either.

It is a weekend and no phone hooked up yet. Thanks.
