Water heater leaking anode

A very happy New Year to all the wise ones here!!

I have a 14 year-old, 40 gal Rheem water heater which is leaking from the top around the threads of the anode (see picture...red arrow pointing at anode (I think that's the anode...)). Is this a repair I can do myself with a wrench and a new anode or should I hire a tech to inspect the rest of the heater?

At 14 years the anode is probably used up, gone, but the heater is approaching its end of usefull life, you got nothing to lose in replacing it, but be prepared that you will need to replace the water heater soon, personally if it is not a major leak, leave alone and start pricing replacement heaters
