    Removing corroded toilet flange....

It's in pretty bad shape. Doing the wood repair such as sistering joists and replacing sub floor and such, is the simple part. But how do I easily remove that rotted flange from the iron ? The last time I did this was almost forty years ago. Drilling many, many holes around the perimeter. Much chiseling. Much talking to self. Then the oakum and new lead. Times have changed and I know there is new stuff out to reset a new flange. But....removing the old may still be a chore. Unless you have some nice suggestions to make that part easier....

They make repair flange rings, if the existing flange is completely gone then IMO your best option is to cut the cast pipe and replace with PVC and a Fernco coupling. You can then install your new sub flooring then set the new flange on the finished surface.
Oh to make life easier buy a cast iron cutting blade for your zaw saw that will save a great deal of time.
