Noisy American Standard Champion Toilet

I've got a Noisy American Standard Champion Toilet. I've been happy with the toilet except for the clunk sound it makes while flushing. I've learned that if I hold onto the handle while flushing that prevents it from making the annoying clunk sound. Has anyone came up with a replacement cone that makes the clunk sound that isn't as noisy. All it needs to be redesigned is a softer cushion at the base that is softer but one that still seals.
