I'm having a similar problem as the one posted by jwhunt100..... but unfortunately, the answer provided did not help me. I'm not familiar with the whole plumbing lingo... I know nothing about standpipes or lancing drainpipes....I can't even tell you the brand name of the washer All I know is that I can't wash even a small load of clothes without having to mop up afterwards I've tried pouring drain cleaner, clorox and whatever else I could think of down the drain but nothing works. Please help.

The pipe that the washer hose drains into is called the stand pipe. It is impossible to really help without the ability to communicate the problem. I'll try.

Do you know where the water is from? drain overflowing or appliance itself leaking?

If the drain is overflowing it may just need cabled out with a snake or it may be to small.

How long have you had the problem?

Are you willing to get your hands dirty?

I don't mind getting my hands dirty at all. The water is overflowing from the (standpipe?) when the water starts to drain after the wash and rinse cycles. I have to turn the washer off and on several times so all the water will go out.....
