  • granite faucet gap

I recently had some granite coutertops installed in my bathrooms. The installers drilled 1 1/2 inch holes for the faucets ...there are a couple small gaps between the faucet and granite. I have mini widespread faucets.

Should granite installers typically drill 1 1/2 inch holes in bathrooms?

Not sure what to do. Seems like the only real fix would be to replace the granite...and I am sure they would not do that without a big battle.

Should I just fill the holes with caulk or grout?

    Thanks,
    Jason

inch and a half is kinda big since the inlets are only 7/8" for 1/2 inch pipe. even the compression fitting for 3/8" copper tubing will go through 7/8" diameter. if your granite is a grey color see if you can find a two part epoxy that you can fill the gaps with. Belzonar Molecular has something along those lines.
