I posted not too long ago with septic questions and I thank you for your responses, they really helped us out. We are purchasing a house that needed a new septic. Well things didn't go to well because the listing agent on the home never gave the septic company the map showing that we wanted the septic tank placed back more than 12 feet off of the back of the house because of things we wanted to do (ie, enforce enclosed porch and adding a deck/patio) Does anyone know about how much it will cost to move the septic tank? It is a two chamber plastic tank, not a cement one and it also has a pump. Do they have to move the pump as well? We are hoping it will not cost more than 5K. We are thinking if they could move it back about 5-7 feet we should be okay with our plans but we hope to get answers from the town this week to confirm this. This has been one nightmare of a home purchase!
