A few weeks ago I posted about the water heater clacking.
Well, I FIXED it! one morning a few days ago the well pump started cycling as the seconds were ticking. I shut the breaker to it and waited 'till later in the morn, just to let it cool down. Took this opportunity to check the air tank pressure. Hmmm...less than 20 psi and it should be close to 40! Bled off the remainder air pressure, let off any residual water pressure, charged the air bladder tank back to it's 40psi mark, turned the water back on, (Pressure switch set for 40/60 by the way) and now...no more clacking!! Never thought it could've been an air pressure problem! I suspect there may be a slight leak from the valve core. Will do a soap bubble test soon. Ayway... am VERY glad to get that clacking noise stopped.
