Water Heater HEADS UP !
I had a Bradford White gas fired water heater installed.The water stunk like oil!
The complete control unit that is immersed in the tank was covered with pipe dope!
I didn't know it at first, had the plumber come back and they discovered this.
They "cleaned" it, first by the plumber, (he saw what was going on) and the results were the same.
Then the Bradford White "technical dept." told them how to proceed to clean the tank with a gallon of bleach and let it sit.
I knew this wouldn't work, as pipe dope is waterproof,and it didn't work.
The company that sold, installed and "cleaned " and eventually took it back is VINCENT R. BOLTZ in Lebanon Pa.
They and Bradford White have lied and given me the major runaround,and given me tremendous aggravation.The only thing they haven't given me is my cash back !
Boltz co. told me "it's out of their hands" and I have to go to Bradford White and the distributor where they got the water heater.
