  • water level higher in brine tank well; problem is overflow

The softener brine tank is overflowing, not much, but making a mess. (There is no float with a check valve installed. I don't know if that is a common configuration or if the vendor didn't choose to install one) I have a Fleck 5600.

The first cycle step is the backwash. No problems there. The second is brine filling. At this time, the tank is not empty as the final cycle, in the previous recharge, is also a brine fill. At the end of each brine fill, the water level inside the well tower is actually higher than the brine tank's level. It's about 3" higher. How can this be? Isn't the brine well, larger tube containing the riser, open to the bottom of the tank?

    Hello!

It sounds like your Fleck 5600 water softener might be having trouble with overflow because the brine well’s water level is higher than the brine tank’s during the fill cycle. This could be due to blockages in the brine well or riser tube, incorrect regeneration settings, or issues with water flow regulation. Double-check that there are no obstructions and that your settings are correct. If everything looks good but the problem persists, it might be worth consulting the user manual or a professional to make sure everything is set up and functioning properly.

Let me know if you need more clarification, thank you!
