  • Need help - replacing hose bib

Hi first post here. The hose bibb for our outdoor garden hose has started dribbling a little even when tightened shut, so I bought a new bibb from Peavey Mart to replace the old one. But this morning when I tried removing the old bibb, I couldn't unscrew it even though I used two wrenches, one to turn the bibb and one to brace the water pipe. I remember replacing the old bibb some years ago and used teflon tape to seal the joint, but perhaps I tightened it too much? Does anyone have any suggestions how I can loosen the old bibb to remove it? Should I try irrigating the taped area with WD-40 or something similar to help loosen it? Or would that make it worse? Thanks in advance!

Use hair dryer or something like that where bibb is connected, it will ease the screw as metal melts, it can be a primary solution, if it fails, you can try using a pipe freezing kit, it can shrink the metal , maybe it breaks the bond too
