  • Shower water issue

    Hello everyone!

The water in my shower stops when someone open a valve located on my garage. I am confused as my room is located on 1st floor. Any idea why this happens?

    Hi Gardenboy!

Do you have a single supply line branching off to multiple fixtures?

Hi Tinytool, thanks for responding. I am not sure but I believe these 2 fixtures are connected to the same line because this valve is located just under my bathroom.

It sounds like you may be experiencing a plumbing issue related to shared supply lines. Since the valve is located just beneath your bathroom and could potentially be connected to the same line as your shower, it’s possible that opening the valve is causing a drop in water pressure, which leads to the water stopping in your shower. This could happen if the plumbing system isn’t designed to handle multiple fixtures drawing water at the same time.

To troubleshoot this issue, I recommend checking if the valve in your garage is part of the same line feeding your shower. If that’s the case, you might want to consider installing a pressure regulator or adjusting the valve to ensure that opening it doesn’t disrupt the water flow to your shower. If the issue persists, it might be helpful to consult a plumber to assess the system and explore potential upgrades or fixes that can improve the water flow and pressure in both fixtures.
