I;m hiring a guy to under pin my basement for an apartment.
I want to know what's involved.
How many feet he can do at one time?
How many sections can he dig out at one time?
How dee should he dig?
How far back can he dig?
Etc.
I don't want my house to cave in

go to your browser and type in "underpinning." the definition shows up in "wikipedia" and explains what it is. pick several sites from your browser on how underpinning is accomplished and go find out. there are several methods. one involves driving a helical caisson into bed rock.
