Walls Made Of Tin?

I recently bought an old Victorian house. The kitchen walls have a weird bumpy texture. One I've never seen before. It has been painted. I called a family member who used to live there and he said the walls were tin as is the ceiling.

Has anyone ever heard of this?

Well i am 64 and i have seen it in some of the old buildings, both inside and out side. The panels look like they were bet out with a hammer. Paul
