cinder block walls in the basement

I would like to avoid drywalling my basement but I want to change the look of the cinderblock walls. Anyone know about stucco and can I use it in the basement living area? I am open to any suggestions; thanks!

Have you tried THORO-SEAL? This compound is portland cement based and is available in colors. You brush it on.

Someone painted over the cinderblocks in my basement, it looks like, a long time ago. Do you think i can apply this stuff over the paint?

I saw a gadget called MAGIC TROWEL, and supposedly, you are able to water down Drywall compund, and "paint" it on with a roller, and trowel over it for a plaster like finish...
