  • Moistureproof wall surface for Bathroom?

I am wondering if other than waterproof type drywall, is there any other water resistant surface that could be put onto bathroom walls? Any sheets of something? We have trouble near the shower area with moisture on the wall surface that has ruined the wall board that we now have up.

We have run into the same problem.

We have been advised to put up Hardibacker - it's waterproof drywall - I guess you can paint it?

We also went to a store and looked at tiled sheets - two brand names: Barker and Abtco. I need to research them more, but we were told you just cut them to the size you want, glue them on, and seal the edges. With this you don't need the Hardibacker if you don't want the extra cost and protection.

Can anyone here comfirm or dispute this? Good/Bad ideas?

    Thanks

    Julie

Don't have a clue... Hope you do
