Crumbling Basement Walls

I am planning to sell my house this year, and want to do something about the basement walls. They are just concrete, and crumbling in some parts. I don't want to deal with drywall (it's just a crappy unfinished basement) but i'd like to do something to make the walls look better before i sell. Any advice?? I apologize if this has been covered many times before....

I'm willing to spend some time on it, just want another option besides drywall. Any advice is sincerely appreciated!

How about skim coating ( a thin layer of cement over the wall) about 1/4 inch
are they crumbling due to water seepage???? if so you might want to have someone look at it
