i have a 1924 colonial with original windows (with several coats of paint) and primed them with oil based primer.
it was a change from what i've tried in other rooms- priming with latex based primer.
problem i found with the latex primer was that no matter how careful i was, the windows get stuck shut from the dry latex paint.
then i tried the oil based primer and they didn't get stuck....
so, would it stand to reason that if i were to paint these windows with oil based paint, they wouldn't stick?
is this some painter's secret?
thanks for the help..
