  • Patching a Doggie Door

    Hi Guys!
When my husband purchased our home, it had a doggie door running THROUGH the wall of our living room... It was for their cat.
I have been researching how to patch it, but all I'm finding on line is how to create one...
Being that we don't have pets, We have no use for it. We see it as a huge eyesore and feel that it really devalues our home, so we want it gone.
We have a frame home with Stucco so it can't be that hard, but I want it done right...
Any advice would be much appreciated.

take out the framework both inside and out. frame in the opening as you would with ANY wall. Outside use a sheathing of osb or plywood and use a screening for something for the stucco to grip. mix up some stucco and apply with a rectangular trowel. inside use fiberglass insulation and sheetrock. feather out the compound, prime and finish.
