  • Deck Counter/Bar

I am tring to figure out what to use to build a L shaped counter for use on a deck.
I know what I want but I am not sure what to use that will withstand the rain, snow, and sun. I live in Alberta. Home of the 30-30-30 weather. 30 above to 30 below in 30 mins.
I would prefer not to use concrete fo the top, but its not out of the question. Will tile & grout survive out in the eliments? Will arbourite last ? if I use tile or arbourite, what do I use to put it on. My thoughts on using any plywood, treated or not, is that it will spit over time and just be crap.
My other concern is for the frame / cabnets that will hold the top. I dont want it to fall appart in 5 years with a heavy counter top on it. I was thinking cedar, not sure if I should go solid cedar or use spruce and put cedar venier on it, or a composit product. Will the water not just get caught between the two materials?
I hope somone can give me a few ideas or feedback on one that you have seen, or built.
