  • Spider cracks on concrete porch

About six months ago, I used a very high powered pressure washer to clean my concrete porch and garage floor. Since then, I've seen a whole web of spider cracks appearing and getting worse. Did I do this to myself? And if so, how do I fix it?

They are called "crazing cracks" most likely you didn't do anything to cause them, nor are they of any structural concern. They are caused by the concrete's surface initially drying out to fast when it was poured. They were most likely there the entire time but when you power washed the concrete you took away the dirt and grime, making them visible again.
In colored or stamped concrete and very often in standard concrete when you wet the surface they appear to disappear, until it dries then there there are again. There is nothing you can do to repair them. Some say you can apply a sealer to the concrete, I've never seen this work satisfactorily, it's just another thing you have to do every year or so and good sealer is not cheap.
Little about a lot and a lot about a little.
