  • Foundation leaking around buried phone line

    Hi there,

So I have a buried phone line running into my house, which is causing water to leak into the house through the hole in the foundation for the phone line. My guess is that it was never properly seal and now it's leaking. The house is only a few years old.

What's the best way to seal up the hole around the phone line to prevent water from leaking into the house? Should I contact a professional maybe a basement waterproofer or would I be able to take care of this myself?

    Thanks,
    Robert

get a small - 1 lb bag of hydraulic cement. Mix it up the consistency of thick peanut butter and pack into the hole. when it cures (which will be in about ten minutes) it expands effectively plugging the hole.
