  • watter filltering through wall

Hi i'm new here. I'm a home new owner had my my home for only 2 years.

My home is in a sort of housing complex where each house is very close to the next one the walls are about 4in thick (all concrete) and there is a seperation of about 1 to 1.5 in and the contruction company filled it with some oil-based tar.

the problem is the after a couple of sumers now the tar is cracked and sicnce its raining water goes into this cracks and its comming out on the inside so I need some help knowing what is the best way to RE-seal the gap.
    Thank you.

I would buy some "expansion joint foam rope" from a massonary dealer.
then I would buy some Bythuthane or rain and ice sheild and cut strips and cover crack leaving a good 3 inches on each side of crack.
This should stop the water from getting into the crack.
