I have an exterior wall with cedar siding that was installed at 30 degree angles forming a chevron appearance. There was significant rot along the corners to the corner caps and underlying sheathing. I suspect this is at least in part due to water running down the sloped siding to the corners where it can get behind the corner caps, siding and in contact with the sheathing.
My question is how can this be avoided without removing the entire wall and replacing it with a standard horizontal application?
Thanks.
