  • Liftmaster won't operate.

Liftmaster 2000SDR - I hade just replaced the Rack on the screw drive rail. I was adjusting the travel limits. I was using the remote to operate the opener while making the adjustments. I stopped making the adjustments to apply the lubricant to the rail. I then tried to operate the opener and got nothing. The security lights came on but the motor didn't start. I even tried the manual button on the wall but still got nothing. The green light is illuminated on the wall button. I noticed the green LED light on the side of the opener isn't on like it had been. I reprogrammed the remote to make sure it was okay, still nothing. I disconnected the door sensors and that didn't' help either. For some reason, power isn't getting to the motor. It doesn't hum or make any noise when I try to turn it on. I waited 40 minutes (and over night) to try it out again in case the motor overload was tripped. I hate the idea of replacing the entire unit but will have too to keep the wife happy. Any ideas or suggestions to help figure this out are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: The green LED indicator light next to the red memory button is off. It flashes rapidly when the remote button is pushed; it remains off when the manual wall button is pressed. I reattached the remote eye sensors.

for testing and debugging, prove that that unit will run or not with the wall station only, do not add remotes to the mix. Photo eyes are not an option, they will not allow the unit to operate if they are not installed and aligned. Be sure to have light bulb(s) installed as they can give you a flashing code that may help you trouble shoot. good luck.
