Hello,Newbie here with a extension spring question

Hello,

One of my extension springs broke the other day so I am going to replace both springs myself since these springs were without the safety cables good thing it is a detached garage and nobody was inside when the spring broke my neighbor was outside when it happened and called me he said it sounded like a shotgun.My question is I am looking for a reputable company to buy the replacement springs in Michigan I am 25 miles north of Detroit or if I would be better off buying online.

You could buy the springs at any dealer, but the best ones are members of IDA (International Door Association), you can search their website at IDA | International Door Association.
