Liftmaster Opener Help

I am trying to repair a Liftmaster opener. The gears (plastic) were shredded so I ordered the main gear and worm gear, which I replaced. I reinstalled everything then tired to test it out. I heard a pop and flash whcih tripped the circuit to the outlet. I reset the breaker in the panel, now when I press the opener, it make three clicks and nothing happens (motor does not operate).

Any ideas on what to do now?

Most likely you short out the logic board, but IF you are lucky it was the start capacitor that went of with a puff of smoke and black stuff inside the box.

You prolly cought a wire under the metal gear plate.
i did it before , pc boards prolly burned.
