Can I replace a garage door panel with a smaller panel?

I am in kind of a bind, my garage door is a 16x7ish, so we ordered a 16x7 door but it is just a few inches too tall. I was wondering if I am able to replace one of the 21 inch panels with an 18 inch panel? The garage door is a non insulated aluminium door with 4 sections each of which are 21 inches. Right now the door is sitting way too high and there is not enough clearance for the track or the tension spring to be installed. I would like to not cut into the rafters to install the tension spring which is why I would like to know if I can replace just one of the panels with a smaller one.

Yes,you can replace the 21" section with a 18", but measure twice the opening and the headroom and then talk it over with your supplier of what you will need for your project.
