I have an old Overhead Door opener with an Overhead Door remote. After being frustrated by the degrading performance of the keypad and forever changing batteries to get as much voltage as possible, I hit on what seems to be a solution for the weakening signal. I spliced a length of wire to the receiver antenna wire and extended it to within a few feet of the keypad. Now it works like a charm. Hope that this helps someone.
