Hi All,
I'm new to this forum and will most likely be asking questions rather than giving advice.
I'm installing new springs for a single garage door and I have found that the 90 pound springs are not powerful enough and the 110 pound springs are too powerful. I shop at Home Depot and they do not have 100 pound springs. Also, when the garage door is open, the springs are perfectly relaxed.
I was wondering if the solution would be to use the 90 pound springs and mount them such that they are slightly stretched when the door is open? Or is it possible for me to buy 100 pound springs?
Thank you,
Bob
