  • How can I open 2 garages with one opener

I just bought a new opener for my second garage and came across a problem. I do not have enough clearance above the door to use it. I did see a neighbor down my street that can open both doors with one opener. Is this a possible solution for me. I would think that I could mount it between the doors and use a special bracket made for situations such as this. Does anyone know of a bracket like this and what it is called? Any help would be great. Thanks

The opener I just bought is a CHAMBERLAIN MODEL 995XDM 1/2 HP

    Don't do it

Just a bad Idea, unless you want to wear out parts on both doors at the same rate, and thus shorten the life of each door. This would also not be the smoothest operating system and further decrease the lifespan of your doors.
