I am assuming your question is garage door specific.
Many theives will "think" a garage door is an easy way in. They will push in on the top section to reach the pull cord or try to pry the door up.
A properly installed and maintaned door and operator will give you security with both respects. The top section should have a reinforcment strut across the top of the section. (Mandatory with an operator) All openers are "locked" when in the down position. Electronically, the newer you operator the harder it is to fraudulantly open. No real concerns here unless you operator is 20 years old or older.
I have seen many try. Believe me, kicking the sevice door in would be much easier.
