I have just moved to a house with a moore-o-matic xx133. It would not close properly and I found a loose/broken terminal on the safety beam. I pushed it back in place and it works now. I would like to replace the beams. One beam has two pair of wires and the other only one. The wires are in the wall so I cant tell what the four wire setup is. I cant physically crawl into the attic to investigate. I found a replacement set at the local box store with 4 wires on one and 2 on the other, possibly chamberlain. would this work? I put a genie in for my mom years ago before I got hurt and only remember 2 wires per beam. Thanks, Rob

Use the manufactor parts, why do you want to replace if the are working?
Let me explain the 4 wires on one lite Beams.
You have 2 wires coming from the operator going to one set of beams and the other 2 wire are ran behind the drywall over to the other lite beams to connect them .This gives you the 4 wires on one side
Besure to keep these beams clean, sometimes you can get a leaf or a spider build web and blocks the signal from the sending lite beam to the reciever

I would still stay with the orginal equipment, I really don't know if the Chamberlin would work ( Chamberlin, Sears and Liftmaster are all the same).
I went to that site and looked at the safety beams and I think they will work you having yellow beams will have to cut the yellow jumper wire. The operator you have has been discontiued, does all your safety feature work, we know the safey beams work and you holding the button down is the only way it will work to close. Does the safety reverse work when it hits something does it go back up. Of course you can not check this part as long as you have to hold the button down. Those safety beams are pretty pricey. I found another site that you will be able to purchase safety beams you may want to look at, add your shipping, and you may just consider replacing the unit with something a little newer.
Give them a call and make sure they will work for you
