That's kind of a loaded question, in sand it should take no longer than 1 hour, in moderate clay 2 hours in rock or very stony ground 4 hours.
If you have never used a trencher before add another 30 minutes to 1 hour for "the learning process"

Assuming it's a reasonably new (ish) well then it's probably between a 2" and 6" in diameter, it should have a concrete pad poured around the PVC pipe and it should not be any bigger than about 3' diameter.
AS always it might be better to hand dig immediately around the well just to be sure, while I mention that don't forget to call "Call before you dig" to mark out any lines.
