    Yes, a slight smell can come from the gaskets after a repair. What little grease they have will vaporize off very quickly (less than 30 min). By the time the stove has cycled a couple of times the smell should be gone.

    With a chamber overhaul, your Monitor should give you 5 or 6 years of service with very little attention.

    Hey Tom,

    Sorry as I don’t think I was clear in my last message.
    I believe the gasket smell has been burned off and is no longer an issue.

    I think my issue now is that I don’t have an air tight seal on my exhaust pipes and/or the black part in my attached photo.

    I’ll do the soapy water test to see if there’s any obvious leaks. But I’m wondering if there’s any gaskets or seals I should have replaced when I disassembled the parts in my photos.
