Anyone who has used a hammer and nail has had the unfortunate experience of missing the nail and mashing a finger. It's definitely not a pleasant sensation, and no one wants to experience that if at all possible.
With this handy little life hack, you can almost guarantee that you will hit the nail every time, or at least keep your fingers safe!
Next time you have to nail anything, get a cheap hair comb first. You probably have one laying around somewhere, but if not they are usually super cheap at the store.
Just place the nail between the teeth of the comb and hold in place at the other end. The comb steadies the nail and your hand stays a safe distance away!
