A unique basement leak problem. We live in a row townhome and there is a water leak 4 1/2 feet above the basement wall, where the water is penetrating into and pools on the cement floor. There are no interior walls cracks and the foundation walls are poured concrete. The water is coming in 5 1/2 feet from the corner, which is a foot and a half in from the outside corner joining the two town home. The distance on the outside wall to the outside corner of the two attached homes is 4 ft, which means that the water is coming in 1 1/2 beyond the outside corner. The outside wall (4 ft. wall) has a brick course from the poured concrete foundation of 16 courses. Above that is aluminum siding to the soffits. Interesting visual is that the outside corner of the brick is spalling and the corner clay brick appears to have been thoroughly soaked with water and the mortar joints are discolored. I have dug the exterior wall from grade to the weepers and there are no exterior cracks at all.
