I have a reference to another site which is a forum for inkjet printers.
www dot cissforum dot com. I already cleared it with Troy. I use two Canon printers that I have outfitted with a continuous ink supply system. With the cost of print cartridges skyrocketting, many of which cost more than the printer itself, I'd figure I'd be better off and not run out of ink during a long print run.

obsolete printers
you can find a pro to fix your printer but it may be just as prudent to buy a new printer and adapt a ciss for it. I have a Canon MP350 and a Canon MP380 that I outfitted with a ciss system in both. I haven't changed out a print head in over three years. I just refill the bulk in tank. I print photos and text and colored posters with it. The ciss cost me $59 three years ago. Stock colored tri color print cartridges are $23 each, black is $17. So with that in mind you're spending $40 bucks just for print cartridges. the printer cost $35. Now considering how much ink is used to reproduce a color photo - you might get 12 prints from one cartridge. Multiply that times more prints and cartridge prices add up. With my ciss system I can print all day for pennies per refill.
