    uneducated mechanic- can i cut and glue cables?

    Is there a way to glue a wire and make it work again? I mean wires like the wires that connect pata hard disk drives with pc motherboard.

          They are less than $1. Why would you even risk this hazard of a project for something so cheap. PATA cables are a dime / dozen.
