genie silentmax 1000 belt drive garage door opener

HI,

i installed silentmax 1000(genie) garage door belt opener.however. i cant figure out how to engage the slide latch to the BULLET located on the belt itself to pull the door. Any help would be appreciated. I called genie now, but they are closed . i cant post links here since i am new.

with the door closed, energize the drive. when the drive reaches the door link it will self engage.
