Leaky Basement

After having a new concrete driveway installed at our new house, we discovered that our basement leaks in primarily two locations. One in the South Western corner is seapage and the other comes in about three feet up halfway along our Eastern wall. During heavy ran I need to use a shopvac to keep up on this.

Ideally I'd like to somehow get this to stop without damaging the driveway, I thought of creating a canal system that would drain the water to the Northwest corner (location of the sump pump). I have applied concrete sealer and it has reduced the force of the flow but I still have to keep an eye on it.

Anyone with any suggestions (short of selling the house during the dry season), please pipe in...I truelly would love to find a solution that would allow me to go ahead and finish the basement as well....

I assume that your new driveway slopes down towards your house and is carrying the rain right up to the homes foundation wall. I fthis assumption is right then you will need to inturrupt the water before it gets to the foundation. Cutting grooves in the driveway to create channels for the water to flow. Cutting out a wide & narrow section of the new driveway and installing a drain, then install a grate over the hole. Anything else that stops the flow. Also do you have any downspouts from your roof that could be contributing to the amount of water entering your draintile?

Try self leveling sealant between the foundation and driveway/walkways. Use backer rod to fill in any gaps then apply the sealant.

I can't tell from your question, but is the water coming through a crack in the concrete foundation wall? If so, you can repair the crack itself with a DIY foundation crack repair kit. You can find it at Applied Technologies.
