Replace Window w/ Glass Block

I plan on replacing this louvered window w/ glass block myself. Does anyone have any helpful hints or suggestions to make it easier?

You can order a preframed unit from pittsburg corning based on your the measurements of the opening, then it's an easier installation with the help of a freind. Or you can build your own. Here's a few links that'll help you out with the how to's.
