I have a friend who bought a reposessed house that had someone use a prybar of some type on the front doors which are double doors damaging the opening door and the jamb piece on the stationary door.I am not sure what that piece is called.I would like to replace that piece, but cannot identify the door brand.I have looked all over for a label of some type.These are steel doors.any suggestions?

The piece you are referring to is probably a ASTRAGAL. If you cannot locate the manufacturer and order a replacement (assuming they have any)the next thing to try to locate a generic one and using the diminsions of the original to match. Probably the most expensive option would be to get a couple of quotes for getting one custom made. Assuming it is a wood product... a person with some time and basic tools could fabricate one, especally with a piece of the original to use as a guide.
