My house is a one story Ranch built on a concrete slab with a 7' x 30' concrete front porch which is probably just an extension of the slab.

The problem is that when the house was built, the porch wasn't sloped correctly so that puddles collect when it rains. The problem is not so bad that the water flows back under the house but after each rain I usually get 2 or 3 puddles waiting for me to step into them when I go outside.

What's the best way to: 1)level everything out?
2)slope everything away from the house?

I'm thinking mudjacking may be your best fix. This is where holes are drilled into the slab and a slurry made of mud and concrete is pumped into the holes. This allows the slab to actually float so that it can be resloped. Not sure about how this would effect the house though if this patio is in fact an extension of the house slab. A few calls to your local mudjackers would clarify this.

Otherwise you would need to install a concrete overlay that would slope the patio away and at the same time fill in the low areas.
